Hello Sewing Buddies,
Do you get frustrated with commercial patterns only to discover the garment that you are making does not fit your body properly? You read the back of the envelope beforehand. You cut out the size that matches your measurements but the garment is still off. You find yourself having to alter the fit several times before you feel comfortable wearing the item out in public.
Well, I have the perfect solution for you.
This week, I am going to show you how to draft your own skirt pattern.
That’s right. You don’t have to waste your precious time sewing a pattern that was not created for your body. Today, you’re going to learn how to draft your own skirt pattern. This way, you know that the garment will fit your body just the way that you like it.
In this video, I am going to show you how to take your own body measurements and use them to draft your front and back pattern. Next week, I will show you how to sew your first test sample.
